About Us

Announcement
Our first 2025 Public Plant Sale will be on Saturday 31st May & Sunday 1st June 10 am - 2 pm. Orders for this season are now closed as we batch orders placed last year, and prepare for our Public Plant Sale Days.
Welcome
We are a group of enthusiastic residents of the Adelaide Hills and the Barossa Valley who care deeply about our natural environment. Our focus is the conservation and restoration of the local native flora primarily by growing plants for reserves, roadsides, and towns; and promoting biodiversity in gardens, farms, schools, and parks. In addition, we aim to raise awareness of our native flora and provide the public with information and support. We are also actively engaged in conservation and restoration efforts in the local area.
The Kersbrook Landcare Group was formed in 1997 as a community-run, not-for-profit organisation by residents concerned about agricultural and environmental issues in the Kersbrook area. We are now a community Group for the wider region dedicated to preserving the natural environment and biodiversity in the Adelaide Hills and the Barossa Valley.
Why we do it: We want people to be informed and passionate about the value of our local native flora. We need to help ensure that our natural environment survives and flourishes. It’s a great learning experience and a whole lot of fun!
We are proud to have won the ‘Australian Community Media Landcare Community Group Award’ at the 2019 South Australian Landcare Awards.
Our group is open to everyone, and we are always happy to see new volunteers join our activities at the Nursery or at a bush care outing. Join us and get to know us!

We aim to encourage and promote community interest in enhancing biodiversity within the region and to be proactive ensuring threats to the environment are addressed.
Our Activities
- The Landcare Group manages a local native plant nursery located near Williamstown where volunteers assist in the production of approximately 90,000 plants per year.
- We help to care for two local bushcare sites near Kersbrook and have a strong interest in the management of Hale Conservation Park at Williamstown. More on Bushcare

Each year the Landcare Group organises a working getaway. This is a chance for our group to contribute to environmental work in another region while at the same time exploring and enjoying some time away. More on trips

Working with our group is satisfying, educational, safe, and most importantly, a happy experience!
