Purchasing Plants

Kersbrook Landcare Nursery
Announcement

Our first 2025 Public Plant Sale will be on Saturday 31st May & Sunday 1st June 10 am - 2 pm. Orders for this season are now closed as we batch orders placed last year, and prepare for our Public Plant Sale Days.

Local native tube stock plants are available for purchase from our Nursery at our Public Plant Sale Days during winter and through orders placed the previous year (ready to collect late autumn-winter). Planting during late autumn and early winter, once the soil is wet, will result in plants that are well established and need less care over the summer months.

Our expected species availability for the following year is published on our website in autumn-winter to guide customers as to what plants we are growing. This is then updated after a stocktake in autumn. Please note that our species availability is subject to change and not all species will be available each year. There are many variables to consider when propagating plants including seed availability and quality, and each season’s growing conditions.

Plants are not available for retail or other onselling. Exceptions may be granted by our Nursery Manager.

Public Plant Sale Days

The Kersbrook Landcare Nursery has three Public Plant Sales each year. These are held at our Nursery on the first weekend of June, July and August. Our June Sale is the largest of our sales having the greatest selection of species and best quality. A species list with available plant quantities is published on our website a few days before each sale so customers can plan their shopping. Our knowledgeable team are happy to provide guidance and help with species selection at our Plant Sales.

The Nursery is located inside the South Para Reservoir (176 South Para Road, Williamstown). Follow the signs on Plant Sale days. Please note that dogs are not allowed on site.

For plant prices please refer to this season’s price list at the bottom of this page. Specific dates and times of our Plant Sales are advertised on our website and Facebook page leading up to the planting season. Payment can be made by card or cash. We will have some boxes available for your plant purchases but if you can, please bring your own.

Please contact our Nursery Manager with any questions you may have.

Plant Ordering

Please place your order as early as possible so we can propagate and grow plants especially for your project. Orders are best placed in late autumn/winter the year before planting. Smaller orders can be placed up until the end of the year. Please note that some species require a long lead time (e.g. Arthropodium, Lomandra) or winter conditions to germinate (e.g. Austrostipa, Bursaria, Callitris).

To place an order please email your list, listed alphabetically by species name with the required number, to klg.nursery@landcaregroup.org.au You should receive a confirmation email within 10 business days.

Orders are available for pick up by appointment (Wednesdays preferred) in late May-June/July – we do not deliver. We will contact you when your order is ready for collection. Please let us know if you would like to collect your order before a specific date.

Our Nursery is located inside the South Para Reservoir main electric gate (176 South Para Road, Williamstown). Please call our Nursery Manager from the gate to gain access.
